What is HackZ’24?

HackZ’24, an initiative by CSEA is a dynamic 24-hour hackathon that brings together the brightest minds to solve real-world challenges through technology and innovation. Open to engineering students, the hackathon encourages collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking, fostering an environment of learning and innovation. Participants will work in teams to solve industry-relevant problems, with the chance to create impactful solutions that can be scaled and implemented in the real world.

Registrations for HackZ'24 officially begin, inviting participants to embark on an innovative journey. In Round 1, participants will submit their ideation solutions to any problem statement within the specified domains, allowing them to showcase their creativity and problem-solving approach.

Conclusion of Round 1

Round 1 submissions close as teams submit their ideation solutions. Judges will carefully evaluate each submission based on the clarity, innovation, and feasibility of the proposed ideas, setting the stage for the next phase.

10 November

Release of Selected Finalists

The list of finalists advancing to Round 2 will be announced. These teams have impressed the judges with their ideation and will proceed to tackle more complex challenges in the final round.

16 November

Release of Round 2 Problem Statements

New and intricate problem statements will be released for the second round. The finalists will now be challenged to develop their ideas into tangible solutions, working on real-world problems across impactful domains.

23 November

Commencement of 24-Hour Hackathon (Round 2)

The final round kicks off with the 24-hour hackathon. Finalist teams will work tirelessly to develop working prototypes, refining their solutions under time constraints while displaying teamwork and technical prowess.

24 November

Conclusion of Hackathon

The hackathon concludes with the submission of final solutions. The judges will evaluate the projects, and the winners will be announced, celebrating innovative ideas and impactful contributions to society.

Who is eligible to take part in HackZ ‘24?

HackZ ‘24 is a national-level hackathon open to all current students enrolled in colleges across India. Teams can have members from different institutions.

Will HackZ ‘24 be held online, in person, or both?

HackZ ‘24 will be a hybrid event. Round 1 is conducted online while Round 2 will take place physically at CEG campus, Anna University on November 23-24, 2024.

What is the maximum size for a team?

Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members.

Is it possible to compete in the hackathon as a solo participant?

No, participants must form teams of at least 2 members to compete.

Is being a student a requirement for participation?

Yes, only students currently enrolled in colleges in India are eligible to participate.

How do I register for the hackathon?

Teams can register online through Unstop (formerly Dare2Compete) by submitting their details.

Is there a registration fee?

Round 1 is free but selected teams for Round 2 must pay a registration fee of ₹500 per participant.

Will there be networking opportunities with industry professionals?

Yes, participants will have opportunities to network with mentors, sponsors, and industry experts throughout the event.
